Welcome to my blog, Breastfeeding in Combat Boots, where I hope to entertain and enlighten you as I ramble on about breastfeeding in general and breastfeeding in the military specifically. But I’ll also throw in information about tattoos, piercings, extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping, my kids and whatever else pops into my head. I may have written a book, but that doesn’t mean I have a clue about the blogging business, so bear with me as I get my feet wet here and try to manage my website (www.breastfeedingincombatboots.com), my Facebook page, Twitter account and raising my 3 kids by myself while Dad is deployed for who knows how long and all the while also attend nursing school full-time!
Oh yeah, did I say I was busy? Just a bit, you see I am also responsible for all my own marketing and publicity for my book so I’m really busy with making phone calls to bookstores and the military exchanges, emailing and sending out Press Releases to reviewers and the media and fielding the occasional request for speaking engagements. Now don’t get me wrong, I want and need the exposure for my book…but there is only ONE of me!! So I may not post as often as I should, or it may be midnight and my posts may not make much sense after a day of herding cats (ahem, my kids) and slogging through homework (mine and my kids).
I hope that you, my readers, will find this blog to be informative and useful. Please shoot me an email or leave a comment and let me know what I am doing right or wrong. And give me a big whack upside the head if I forget to blog for too long…
