Breastfeeding in Combat Boots: A Survival Guide to Successful Breastfeeding While Serving in the Military was selected as a Silver Medal winner in the  2011 Military Writers Society of America awards competition in the How-To category.  Winners were selected from numerous entries and the competition is judged by independent experts from all aspects of the military book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters.  Books are rigorously evaluated for content, style, technique and visual excellence against stringent criteria by a panel of judges.  Award winners and finalists are based on overall excellence of presentation.
